Koen Swings is managing partner and co-founder of Zappware, a Belgium-based company specialized in creating, implementing and operating interactive services for a broad variety of digital TV platforms. At Zappware Koen is responsible for innovation, strategy, and marketing.
Koen has spent more than 11 years in the digital television business. He started his DTV career at Philips as Technology Manager charged with innovations in Philips' high-end line of digital TV set-top boxes. Since Zappware's founding in 2001 Koen has been involved in the creation and deployment of a broad variety of interactive TV services - including innovative services in the field of interactive advertising and enhanced TV - on several European iDTV markets.
At Zappware, known as pioneer in the Belgian iDTV market, Koen witnesses today how interactive TV in Belgium is turning into a mutually profitable market for broadcasters, operators and advertisers.
