David McElhatten is the Managing Director at Osmosys. Osmosys, based in Geneva Switzerland, is a leading worldwide provider of open standards interactive television solutions for network operators, consumer electronics manufacturers and broadcasters alike. Osmosys provides software and services in the form of middleware, applications, systems and deployment services with millions of homes currently served in over 15 countries.
Previous to this role at Osmosys, McElhatten was Vice President at Vidiom Systems, the leading interactive software provider in the United States for next generation cable systems, working with key content clients including MTV, Showtime, and Time Warner – all in the development of interactive media for next generation digital TV systems.
Prior to his work in digital television, McElhatten was President of a consumer software arm of Philips Electronics. Based in London and Los Angeles, Philips Media Games was an interactive entertainment publishing division for the consumer electronics giant which produced and published over 150 consumer software titles during McElhatten’s tenure.
A graduate of Allegheny College, McElhatten was elected to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities in 1979 and is the principle inventor of record for patent #7,073,189B, covering network based digital entertainment delivery systems
